I finished my girlie and I think I am going to make a sister for her. I'm going to do another 6X6 to go with this one with a little girl and a moon. I want to tell you about a new product I used on the painting. They are called Twinkling H2O's by Luminarte. They are little wells of a dense powder that you mix with water. They turn into a watercolor, but they are extremely shiny and sparkly! I used the iridescent color to coat over my paint. I tried to get a good photo of how shiny it is so you can get the feel of them. Hopefully I did an ok job. They come in any color you can imagine and I totally want to get brighter colors and try them out. Right now I only have iridescent, gold and bronze. I originally found out about them in the Scrapbooking/Stamping world, but I really think they are great for mixed media as well. There is a 6 step demo on YouTube on how to use them with stamps. Just type in Twinkling H2O in the search engine. Let me know if you have ever used these before and how you like them.

Beautiful painting, the eyes look amazing!
Shonna, I love her she is so cute, especially her cute little bangs. Have you ever thought about doing a boy? Love, Mom
She's a cutie! Can't wait to see her sister. And it sounds like she needs a brother huh? LOL!
I am working on drawing boys. For some reason, I have a really hard time with boys; they still end up looking like girls with short hair...tee hee! I will work on it...
Hi Shonna, Thanks for stopping by at my blog. I love art. Your paintings are beautiful.
It is hard to paint boys I think as well. It's funny you saying they end up looking like girls. I don't feel so bad. Mine are the same.
I have never tried Twinkling H20. Sounds like they would be fun though.
I am gonna add you to my blog if that is oK?
Kim

Love your new painting! I too like using Twinkling H2O's. So pretty.
she's very pretty! Love the colors you've used :)
Oh my! Another Luminarte Twinkling H2O girl - Aren't they simply fab-u-lous?
I LOVE those watercolors. Visit my blog or etsy shop and see the coffee filter roses that I make and paint using Twinkling H2O's.
Love your artwork! xoxo
